Oh cheers! I seemed to have forgotten all about tumblr! Glad to hear you are doing well and have survived your move! I loved Las Vegas when we went on holiday! I am almost done with school. 1 more term and an internship left to go. My son is very well, thank you for asking! He’s a bit more then a year old and as tall as can be. Funny enough though, i am pregnant with baby #2…also a boy! 19 weeks along and due in August! Timed it right with the royal baby!

First of all, apologies. I completely dropped off the face of this planet. What with university and my family and our busy lives i just haven’t had the time to update and keep up with the royal fandom!

Secondly, i thought i would update on my family. Everyone is well and happy! My son is growing so much these days, he’s got 3 teeth now and is the most handsome little guy out there! My family also recently returned from the States! My son earned some more stamps for his passport! He did well with the travel. I was quite frightened it would be terrible but he got on well with it and slept a lot. We did the thanksgiving thing with friends in Arizona. We had a great time. We ate so much and after we played football or as you Americans call it, Soccer. We also got to go to California and spend time with some of the American Beach Volleyball players we met over the summer at the Olympics. That was a good time. But, now we are home.

Today the weather wasn’t horrible and we were able to take some family pictures before church.

I hope this finds everyone well. I can’t promise to keep this as updated as i have in the past but i can promise to post a few things every now and then. I seem to have a bit more time in class now that we are past clinicals for this term.

I OFFICIALLY have my husband back. Even though the games have been over for a bit, he’s just now gotten to a point where he is home. He’s got about 5 complete days off of work before he goes back to help with the Paralympics. During that time, i get him all to myself. Last night we headed out of London for the next few days and went back to our home in Berkshire. With such beautiful weather i am lucky enough to be getting ready to spend it all outside today with these two handsome guys. We are thinking of doing the long walk simply so Jameson can play in the grass. Oh the possibilities!

oh goodness, there are so many. I am a runner, so really anything that involves running around i love. Maybe football. It’s what i’ve played the most. I used to run track and hurdles as well. My favourite sport to watch though, volleyball of any kind. I think because i never did it except for recreational and it’s genuinely a fun sport to watch.

Apologies for disappearing! I really sort of ran out of time everyday! What few moments i had i would spend on skype with my family and friends. i had an absolutely amazing time at the Olympics. I’m really still trying to process everything. The husband is helping out at the Paralympics which means our journey really isn’t done. for this i am grateful. I was already having withdraws. I miss the players and the excitement in the air. Mostly though i miss all of the new friends i made. I had mentioned earlier that i went to those Pesky Americans, misty and kerri’s congratulatory party. It was really the perfect ending to an exciting week of HGP. So many players, both male and female, were there and we enjoyed celebrating such a brilliant achievement. You sort of think those moments are it, you wont hear from these very high profile people again, but you’d be surprised how absolutely genuine they are. Received a lovely email from Misty this afternoon thanking me, Ethan and even baby for the kind hospitality we showed all the players and for bringing so many lighthearted moments into tense situations before games. Very true. Me and baby spent countless hours entertaining and talking to and even feeding these athletes before and after their games. Some were crushed after horrible losses and had just finished making rounds with the media and needed a giggle. Some were coming off major wins and needed a chance to slow down and refuel. We did that for them while they sat in my husbands medical facilities. So, it felt nice to receive a bit of thanks from such a world class athlete, and a gold medalist at that! Not to mention, my girls, Zara and Shauna, oh how i adore them…we had a lovely lunch with them today. Our hopes for them is Rio 2016, but they’ve got the rotten luck of having to sit on pins and needles waiting for sponsorship deals to happen so they can continue training full time.

I promise more pictures after i finish uploading my life the past 17+ days but i thought it best to start with the more IMPORTANT ones…

Prince Harry.

Yes, we got to meet him at the HGP. He was charming. VERY charming. I went to the final day for Women’s competition with my old American flatmate. With the husband hard at work and baby being minded it was very much a party for us two ladies! We first met him as he was coming in to the venue and then had a laugh with him later when he discovered our seats were much better then his. From what i’ve been told, we were shown a few times when they showed Prince Harry (i havent seen it yet, saved on my tv, will be watching to see for myself). Anyways, these are the few pictures i took of him. One doesnt want to come off real scary like by always taking pictures! Besides, we were really enjoying the games!

What all did you get to see at the Olympics, and will husband be helping with the Paralympics?

He will be. We weren’t sure of his participation at first but he had a great showing and was asked to work through paralympics which is much more of a challenge. I must part with my husband a little longer! I obviously saw all the events, mens and women at HGP…i went to gymnastics. Saw a lot of swimming. Very impressive. I love to swim so for me, that was amazing. Athletics. Opening and closing ceremonies, basketball, indoor volleyball, and football. So, we got quite alot in. The husband only got to see beach and indoor volleyball, judo, swimming, and gymnastics…but he was working so i dont very much call it a spectator experience for him.

I've missed your Olympic posts. I guess you must be really busy with the bady and helping your hubby. Did you see Prince Harry today? It looks like Beach Volleyball was a pretty popular venue.

I know, im so sorry! my life got very intense after my last post! to a point where me and baby slept on a massage table at one of the venues followed by falling asleep on a couch at HGP. i have plenty of pictures to post once things settle down here. Now that beach volleyball is over (things got very intense and as a faithful supporter of my husband i LIVED every moment with him) my husband is only in supporting positions around the games and travels between venues occasionally going back to HGP to help close lose ends or to still patch up players who are practicing on the courts for a big tournament that starts monday in Poland, i think. I’ve been soaking in the after tournament glow. i made many friends this tournament. I think the post-beach volleyball highlight for me was going with Ethan to the congratulatory celebration for those pesky Americans Misty and Kerri. We love those girls and it was an honour to have been invited. But, like i said…i will be posting more, very soon! I’m going to enjoy whats left of the games with my little family before sharing (mostly because i havent had the time to unload pictures from my camera). and YES…i DID see Harry! I also was able to get a good picture of him because we sat a few rows in front of him and i think at one point he was standing in front of us, which is the picture i have of him…i cant remember what the situation was that put him there but none the less i will be sharing that.

Can I just say how much I am absolutely loving your Olympic posts! I've been hooked on the Olympics since it begun and your posts just increase the excitement. It's so lovely to get an inside view of some of the places, and incredibly exciting! I hope your husband and yourself enjoy the rest of the Olympics, and thank you! x x

well cheers! I will be posting more soon. Been running all over London to see events! Full day at HGP today for round of 16 matches. Brilliant seats, thanks in large part to my husband, but this reply is coming to you from the BBC media booth! spending all ones time at HGP, behind the scenes, has certainly had its benefits! so many pictures to come! Have enjoyed watching my husband at work during games too. he’s cute, so i enjoy it!

I’ve just now got on to tumblr! Seems i have been missing a lot while not missing anything at all!! So lovely! i genuinely think that the atmosphere here is making LOVE come alive! My husband has done some of the sweetest things for me and there’s just this energy! it’s not at all surprising to see them like this. But all the same! I love it!

Well, another day, another day on “the beach.” …Another full day out at HGP. Had/have amazing seats again today but then it started to rain. Have the baby with me. I was just going to cover him up and let him continue to enjoy the games (after all, he LOVES the rain) but that ever doting husband of mine pulled us out of the stands during the men’s matches to sit with him out of the rain. Not bad seats. Also, baby took a nap. very important! Usually i put him down for a nap in between sessions at the HGP and have been helping Ethan if he needs anything or studying for school. Term is almost here. Clinicals beckon, as does all the preparatory work. After the Olympics. After.

Back in our seats, under double umbrella, watching Zara and Shauna battle a very good team from Canada. They’ve got a very difficult pool and all the pressure of their country but they are such terrific girls that it’s such an honour to just get to watch them knowing our family calls them friend.

Been a wonderful and exciting past few days! Much to come! hoping to venture out of HGP tomorrow morning, but will be back to watch those pesky Americans play! I love the Olympics!

Go Team GB!!!

***UPDATE: Our girls from GB did it! They beat the Canadians in 3 sets. That last set was amazing! I might not have a voice after today! Crowd was brilliant! Big congrats to our friends Zara and Shauna on their win on their opening day!

Early Morning today. Went to HGP to drop off Ethan’s kit for the Opening Ceremonies and to bring him some extra clothes. He’s been extremely busy so we had to meet him before any of the players got to HGP so he could devote his time to us. Was very early. Baby was still sleeping and had to wake him up so we could leave. But, when i got there, Ethan spent time with Jameson and i got to get an early morning work out out in by running all the stairs of the HGP venue. I’m in relatively good shape, but i was winded by the end. I did stop to get a picture from the top. Lovely. Also, in order to get into HGP, you’ve got to make it through security. It’s a pain but it’s a remarkable sight. Grabbed a picture as we were leaving.

Tonight i’ll be at the Opening Ceremonies. My seats are GOOD, very GOOD, very very very GOOD, you need a special pass and accreditation to sit there GOOD. So i am over the moon with excitement for this evening! Starting to put myself together now, will be leaving soon, but will be going in high street fashion. Have special transport to the venue so i’ve got to be ready in time for the pick up. My husband will be walking in the ceremony. Look for him in the back of Team GB. He’s told me all the Team GB physicians are walking in the back to make sure everything is okay! So, for those watching, look for Ethan in the back!

Well, tomorrow is the big day.

I have always loved the Olympics but getting a chance to see behind the scenes and to build relationships with athletes competing in these games adds a whole new level of stress. I can’t wait to watch Team GB in action. Everyone is so good!

Today was uneventful. We stayed inside the flat most the day and watched the women’s football matches on the telly. Way to go Team GB! We really only left once and that was to go down to HGP to bring Ethan and his staff a hot lunch. They eat a lot of sandwiches and quite frankly, i owed it to him!

Last night he sent me the sweetest text message to my phone. As a wife, you want to feel like your husband still adores you as much as before. It’s nice to know that me and him, and our family, that’s what he thinks about in his idle time. Anyways, i’ve included the pictures of his view from the balcony and his office set up at the Village. And yes, i do call my husband Dr. Husband…it’s a nickname. Most of the time i just call him doctor. I’ve been calling him doctor since we started dating and he was TRYING to get into medical school.

But, back to HGP. So much action going on there. I, OF COURSE, timed it so i could be there to watch Zara and Shauna in action. Me, Ethan, Baby, and my 2 American friends watched them practice and ate our lunches in the players box. Sand and hot meals do not go hand in hand. lesson learned. Took a tour of the media station there as well. Lovely view of the entire venue.

I’ve plastered my face and my families face all over this thing so if you see me don’t be afraid to say HI JESSICA! or even if you see my Husband…he’ll pass along any well wishes! He will probably be your best bet of seeing at HGP…he sits down on sand level throughout most.

PART FOUR:

Thank goodness for the end of a long day. I’m tired and as you can clearly tell, so is baby. We were watching daddy on the telly. He’s ready for bed. I give him one hour before he falls to sleep without me needing to help him.

Not much to end the evening on. We went to the Riverbank Arena and sat in on the Hockey practice while Ethan helped one of the Physicians out and took off for home from there. Got up close with the pitch before leaving though. Thought you’d all enjoy getting a closer look at the stadium the Duchess of Cambridge will be in.

The last picture is of the entirely small and almost useless privacy clinic used by the medical teams at Riverbank. The medical clinic itself is normal size but the privacy clinics Ethan was working in were the smallest i’ve seen at any venue. I’m not super knowledgeable of the sport but one would assume if your sport has big wooden sticks in it there are probably serious injuries that arise. Silly.

Anyways, that’s all i have to report on for the day. Tomorrow is a new day, much less involved on my part. I probably wont have much to share with you guys again until after the games start. Losing my husband to the Olympic Village for the next week. He said to me as we left the Riverbank that he thinks he’ll be home by Monday…MONDAY!! Sigh. I knew this would happen. At least for insider information i’ll be able to get you guys pictures of what the rooms look like in the village.

I Love the Olympics but i already wish they’d give my Husband back to me!!

I would definitely still look into gymnastics because I just purchased my ticket today. As for the beach volleyball, I've got tickets for August 2nd. Any chance I'll be running into you?

I’ve got no reason to assume that i wouldn’t be there that day. Competition is going on then. The only reason i wouldn’t be there is if the husband was covering swimming. Even then, i would assume he would only be there for the heats and not the medal matches those days. so…let’s assume as of this moment we will both be at HGP on the 2nd!!
